Golden Milk Adaptogen Latte

Golden Milk Adaptogen Latte

Okay, this is a latte recipe you might initially be hesitant to try... but once you do you'll be HOOKED. I was once someone who thought this latte sounded strange, and now I'm golden milk latte's number one fan. I added adaptogens to this recipe for an additional mood balancing benefit (for my fellow anxious/stress-y gals), but you're welcome to omit. The golden milk latte is basically a spicy, turmeric latte. If you've seen my posts recently, you'll know that turmeric is a superfood I'm absolutely obsessed with right now. There's literally only good things that come out of turmeric.

Ingredients:

Makes one latte

  • 1 c milk of choice (I like coconut milk)
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 3 cloves
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tsp adaptogen powder
  • 1/4 c barista blend milk for foam (optional)

Directions:

  1. Add your milk to a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the rest of your ingredients to the pot.
  3. Stir to combine the spices and dissolve the honey.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Froth your barista blend milk if using.
  6. Remove the clove from the mixture and pour into mug of choice.
  7. Top with the frothed milk and a little more cinnamon on top.

Trust me on this- once you try it you'll be obsessed! I like to drink mine in the morning so that the adaptogens help my mood throughout the day. If you find you're a bit anxious at night, or have trouble sleeping, this latte would be a great option for you to have as a nightcap. Enjoy and don't forget to tag and DM me if you make it!! 🤍
