It's called a healthy banana split, but you could also call it a deconstructed yogurt bowl. I am absolutely loving the combination I'll share in this recipe, but you can really go wild with healthy banana splits and make them your own. I personally like to have a healthy banana split for breakfast, but you could definitely have this as a dessert too!
Ingredients:
Makes one serving
- 1 banana
- your favorite vanilla or plain yogurt
- 4 strawberries
- 1 yellow peach
- 1 tbsp of your favorite almond butter
- cacao nibs
- shaved almonds
- cinnamon
Directions:
- Slice banana length wise down the middle and place the two halves on a plate.
- Add a cup or one serving of your yogurt into the center of the banana.
- Chop the strawberries into small pieces and scatter overtop the banana and yogurt.
- Cut peach into slices and add peaches to banana split.
- Drizzle the almond butter overtop.
- Sprinkle on the cacao nibs and almonds.
- Add a dash of cinnamon on top.
